I often talk about how ordinary things have extraordinary potential. Juice is no exception. From ancient myths to modern Kitchen Witchery, fruit and vegetable juices have been used for healing, celebration, offerings, purification, and attracting blessings. Their diversity makes them wonderfully adaptable for magical work. Let’s pour a little inspiration into the glass and explore the possibilities.

  • Elements: Water.

  • Magical Correspondences: Healing, Restoration, Vitality, Attraction, Prosperity, Cleansing, as Libations

  • Astrological Sign(s): Leo, Aquarius, Capricorn

  • Planetary Ruler: See list

  • Tarot Card Association(s): Ace of Wands, Temperance, The Sun, Three of Cups

  • Numerological Correspondence: 3

  • Chakra Resonance: See list

  • Deities: Dionysus & Opora (Greece), Pomona (Rome), Tepoztēcatl (Aztec).Opora (Greek), Ash (Egyptian)

Juice is a wide category, but writing about each individual juice independently would take a book (hum, idea?). This is simply a concise overview to help you get started.

Greek mythology tells us of Ambrosia and Nectar, the divine drinks served on Mount Olympus that granted immortality. In ancient Egypt, the pomegranate was revered as a life-giving fruit whose juice symbolized the cycle of death and rebirth. Centuries later, Arab traders introduced citrus fruits to Europe, where they were soon credited with mystical properties, including protection and attracting prosperity.

In Western folk magic, lemon juice—often combined with salt—was used to ward off hexes, banish negativity, and protect against harmful influences. Old English wassailing celebrated apple orchards with cider, song, and blessings for a plentiful harvest. Modern Kitchen Witches sometimes sip apple juice before bed in hopes of encouraging prophetic dreams.

Fruit (Juice) Magical Correspondence
